GGBC is a fully affiliated member of British Rowing, the national governing body for the sport of rowing. It works at all levels from recreational rowing right up to running the highly successful GB team. It provides advice and guidance on such matters as safety and welfare, coaching courses, health and fitness, property, and of course racing.
To row competitively at British Rowing regattas you need to be a full competitive rowing member of British Rowing. Note – Goring & Streatley regatta is not a British Rowing event and is open to all comers.
Membership of British Rowing gives several benefits:

- Racing – Senior (£44)
- Student (£27)
- Junior (£20)
- Non-Racing – 18+ years (£22)
